Plimoth Plantation, a Smithsonian Affiliate Institution, brings to life the stories of the Wampanoag people and English colonists, known as Pilgrims, and their interaction in 17th-century New England. Museum exhibits include the 17th-Century English Village, Wampanoag Homesite, Craft Center, Nye Barn, historic Mayflower II and Plimoth Grist Mill.
The museum offers an opportunity to explore the powerful stories of two distinctly different cultures. Engaging with knowledgeable staff will help guests experience this history first-hand. This active approach to history has earned Plimoth Plantation national acclaim for delivering profoundly personal experiences to visitors from around the world. Located less than an hour’s drive south of Boston in Plymouth, Massachusetts, and 15 minutes north of Cape Cod, the Museum is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week, from the third Saturday in March through the end of November 2014.
