Those Classic Christmas Films

Do you have a stash of Christmas movies and shows that you like to watch during the holidays? We've started watching our collection. Some years we don't get to all of them, there's just not enough time! But I think we have all of the classics, from the many “Christmas Carols” to the “Grinch”(the TV version, not the movie). I love to turn the tree lights on, settle into the couch and put on one of our holiday selections. Do you have a favorite? One of my favorites is “A Christmas Carol” with George C Scott. In my opinion, his portrayal of Ebeneezer Scrooge is one of the best. We also love “A Christmas Story” with Ralphie(“You'll shoot your eye out kid!”). Then there's “Christmas Vacation” with Chevy Chase. It's become a tradition to watch this one when we're decorating the tree. But there will always be a special place in my heart for Dr. Seuss' “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” narrated by Boris Karloff. It includes some of my favorite lines and this wonderful message: “Welcome, Christmas, bring your cheer. Cheer to all Whos far and near. Christmas Day is in our grasp so long as we have hands to clasp. Christmas Day will always be just as long as we have we. Welcome Christmas while we stand, heart to heart and hand in hand.”
