Last year, we had the “Greatest Team Ever”... and we all know how that turned out. This year the Red Sox season is just starting and we already have pitching woes.  What's going on here?  We apparently didn't show Papelbon enough love...or was it the cash?... and he left us for Philadelphia.  Andrew Bailey was brought in to replace him and he is quickly out of action with a thumb injury.  Days later, Josh Beckett , perhaps having trouble with a pop top, has a nasty “thumb thing” as well. You've got to be kidding! 

This year, as we celebrate the 100^th Anniversary of Fenway Park and our appreciation of this historic team, somebody should give Tim Wakefield a call....just in case!
