Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday... right after the 4th of July.  Both are big time food- oriented holidays and, of course, both have plenty of sports appeal with football and baseball.  On the 4th, there is a special thrill cooking out on the grill.  However, when it comes to Thanksgiving, don’t ask me what dish or special recipe I would like to share.  Don’t ask... because I don’t cook!  The grill is fine, but keep me out of the kitchen.  I’m more of a helper. Picking items up from the store [to make sure we have enough fresh Massachusetts grown cranberries!], helping with prep-work and cleaning up afterwards are my forte’.....oh , and EATING, of course.

Around this time of the year, a lot of guys I know brag about their cooking expertise.   Cooking is just not for me.  I wouldn’t starve to death if left to my own devices, but I am limited to breakfast and steak or burgers.  At Thanksgiving, please don’t ask me what I’m going to cook.  I don’t cook...and for that you should be thankful.  Happy Holidays!
