What is that old New England saying?  If you don’t like the weather, wait 5 minutes and it will change.  Well, I’ve spent all of 2011 waiting for it change…for the better!  When is that going to happen?   2011 started with the horrendous back to back snow storms and then moved on to spring floods, tornados, an earthquake, hurricane Irene and a crippling snow storm in October!  What did we do to deserve all this?  Oh yeah, and the September Red Sox melt-down made for a double whammy almost at the level of a natural disaster for many!

I really shouldn’t complain since my power is finally back on and the house is once again warm. I do believe, though, that I am the only person on the air at Magic that sat in the cold and dark for 2 days. Why me? If your power was out longer, or is still out, I really feel your pain.  Let’s hope that when 2012 arrives, we will encounter a kinder and gentler Mother Nature. 

At the end of the day, I did learn one valuable lesson…it’s impossible to start a fire with the on line version of the Boston Globe. I’m just curious…did you lose your power, too, and for how long? If you are out there freezing in the dark, I sincerely hope it is restored SOON!
