I don’t want your friends and co-workers to think that you are a complainer, so let me do it for you. We had a winter for the record books and deserve [?] much better weather than we are experiencing right now. I know we have been fortunate to not have an earthquake, tsunami, tornado, flood or hurricane…but, a little warmth and sunshine don’t seem like too much to ask for at this point of springtime after the ice dam winter! Continually damp, dreary and dismal days do not promote good mental health. We have yet to completely turn off the heat at our house…even though we did have the air conditioning on for a few days two weeks ago when it did turn hot and humid! Neighborhood walkers are still wearing parkas with hoods up…a few are still wearing gloves. It’s just not right! Please let me put away the winter wardrobe…coats, hats, gloves, scarves and boots…and break out the t-shirts, shorts and sandals. April showers bring May flowers, but it is May 11^th and the flowers are getting mold and mildew. We need sunshine! [check back with me in mid-July when it is 98 and humid!] Complain, complain, complain! Now I feel better…I hope you do, too!
