If you’re a movie lover, you have probably already made your Oscar picks. Even if you haven’t seen all of the nominees, I’ll bet you’re rooting for one or two of your favorites. I’ve seen most of them and thought I would share my winning picks in the major categories. By the way, I’ve never been wrong…..last year, "Avatar" should have won.

Best Picture: I was disappointed when Ben Afleck’s, "The Town", was not nominated but felt relieved when "the Fighter" was. "The Social Network" is a brilliantly told story, but maybe it was a case of too many accolades too soon, because "The King’s Speech" is your winner!

Best Actor: Colin Firth or James Franco? James will host, Colin will win.

Best Actress: I really couldn’t stand the movie, but Natalie Portman dances away a winner.

Best Supporting Actor: No question… Christian Bale. For a while, I thought he was actually from Lowell.

Best Supporting Actress: Melissa Leo. That Mark Wahlberg knows how to put together a movie!

So there are this years winners. I just wish that next year the Academy would return to 5 Best Picture nominees.
