Hey! Was that you I saw wearing shorts and a Red Sox T-shirt going into the Framingham BJ’s on Saturday? Or, was that you and your friends standing on the corner of Moody Street and Pine in Waltham wearing shorts and a sweatshirt on Sunday? I’m just wondering. Why are we seeing so many people, and not just teenagers, sauntering around at a leisurely pace in t-shirts and shorts in this weather? For the most part, they look like normal everyday folks. But, how can this be? It’s freezing cold…there’s a couple of feet of snow [and ice] on the ground and it’s JANUARY! Even pitchers and catchers don’t report until next month ... in Florida! Maybe it’s just a deep desire to defy Mother Nature. Or, maybe these people are just ‘plain crazy’. Why else would 3 young women shoppers at the Chestnut Hill Mall be wearing flip flops on a day like today?
