Returning to work after a week of Christmas vacation is usually a hum drum experience…the let-down after multiple festivities! Typically it’s a slow week between now and New Year’s Day, but throw in a blizzard and you’ve got some real excitement! It all began after the Patriots game, with the slow ride in from Metro West to the hotel where the Morning Magic crew stays when a big storm threatens Boston. As the storm grew in intensity, it became apparent that the much- talked about ‘Blizzard of 2010’ was the real deal. Flooding, power outages, scores of accidents, and tired backs from shoveling were the order of the day. However, if you lived through the ‘Blizzard of 78’, this was just a puppy. Having been trapped in Boston for 5 days…broadcasting and sleeping in shifts, with very little food [mostly cookies] and only the clothes on your back…now, that was a BLIZZARD! I’ll take the puppy any day!
