I should have paid attention to all the critics. They watch movies differently than you and I, but quite often they are off the mark in their reviews and you need to judge for yourself. Maybe I’m just easy to entertain sometimes when it comes to movies. In spite of the poor reviews for ‘The Tourist’ starring Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp and Venice Italy, I went anyway. This movie completely wasted two extremely talented and ‘easy on the eyes’ actors. Was it supposed to be a thriller or a comedy? Angelina Jolie’s character was cartoonish like Jessica Rabbit, but if you are a big fan of hers,this movie is made for you. The camera lingers FOREVER on her exceptionally beautiful face. Johnny Depp, however, had no character development at all and sounded like he was doing a bad Billy Crystal impersonation from ‘When Harry Met Sally’...so disappointing from such a versatile actor. Venice, on the other hand, looked spectacular ... maybe I should visit!
