Apple or Blueberry?

It was a toss up this summer between the traditional July vacation in the Big Apple or a week in Bar Harbor, Maine. Maine won out and so we packed our bags to head up to the tranquil wilderness of Acadia National Park. As I sat watching the sun set over the sea, eating lobster and feeling a fresh breeze blow past, I knew I'd made the right decision . I'd narrowly escaped a week of 100 degree weather in New York City...a week of breathing in sticky humid sewer sweat, toasty car fumes, and my favorite scent – eau de refuse! There's nothing like a heatwave to really bring out a city's flavors…some of which are best left refrigerated. While I picked my blueberries under tranquil pines and fragrant balsams, the Big Apple ground on without me. So what if I had to leave my egg bagel with schmear behind? Instead, I got to trade up for a weeks worth of succulent Maine lobsters and some peace and quiet. But that was last week…now it's time to get back to the Bean Town grind !   So,what's your preference...Apple or Blueberry?
