Mark Laurence, a native of Worcester and graduate of Colby College, is an eighteen-year veteran of MAGIC 106.7.  A favorite expression in the halls at MAGIC is "Ask Mark". He seems to know the answer to everything!

Mark reviews all the new incoming songs, and manages our ongoing Audience Music Tests where listeners get to vote on which songs they want to hear on the radio - and which ones they don't. He also does a weekend show on Saturday afternoon and does regular fill-ins for Dan Justin. At one time or another he's done every on-air shift on the station except Sunday Morning Jazz. Mark is also an avid cyclist.

Mark will be riding in the Boston Brain Tumor Ride on May 16th in Waltham.  Please click HERE to pledge your support.

Good news for Adele
Posted 11/15/2011 5:33:00 PM

As you've probably heard, Adele was in Boston recently for throat surgery.  The world renowned surgeon Dr. Steven M. Zeitels, director of Massachusetts General Hospital's Voice Center, says she is recovering well and he expects her voice to get "completely back to normal." She had been forced to cancel many concert appearances as a result of hemorraging in her vocal cords.

More good news for Adele: along with her many weeks at the #1 spot for her album "21" in the US, she just passed a huge landmark for sales in Europe.  She's the first artist to sell one million copies of an album in Europe.

Adele wrote on her blog this week that she's "chilling out...and getting back to my mime show now" after the surgery.  We wish her the best!
