I know this time of year we're all running around like chickens with their heads cut off, but I try to slow down and take it in stride with thankful thoughts in mind. As I go from store to store hoping to get those perfect gifts for under the tree Christmas morning, I think about people that don't have it so good.
I think about the person that is struggling without a job, or the person that's sick, or has a loved one in poor health. I think about that guy holding a cup that I just gave a few quarters to while I'm driving home, and how grateful he was. I think about someone whose alone. Yeah, alone on Christmas. It's unsettling to me, but it's life, unfortunately.
So I think about how I lucky I am. I thank God for my blessings, and I say a prayer for anyone who is going without. This is Christmas we're talking about. So I hope if you know someone less fortunate or that might just need a smile and some company, please have Christmas in your heart...yup in your heart. You know what I mean right? Merry Christmas...God bless you.
