For a little over a week now, I've been wrestling with whether I would blog about this, and it seems that I just can't help myself.  To know my wife is to love her. She never forgets anyone's birthday, anniversary, death, or any special occasion.  I don't how she does it, but she has an incredible memory.  For all these special occasions of family and friends she will always send a card.

Last Wednesday night, Thanksgiving eve, I got home from the station and she wasn't home.  It was a little after 9 and I was just wondering where she could be.  I called her cell, she answered, and sounded a bit flustered.  I said, "What are you up to?"  She replied, "Just doing some errands."  So we had a brief discussion about what we would do for dinner and such, and she said she'd be home soon.

Fast forward to Thanksgiving morning.  I usually don't give Thanksgiving cards...,but guess who does?  You got it...my lovely wife!  So she gives me my card, I open it, and it says, "To My Wife on Thanksgiving" with the "wife" crossed out.  She had written in "husband" on the front of the card and inside the card wherever it said wife (except for one "wife" that she missed).  I got the biggest kick out of this.  I said, "Why on earth did you give me a 'wife' card?"  She said, "Do you remember last night when you called me and I was out doing errands?"  I said, "Yes."  Well, she said, "I was out going to store after store looking for a Thanksgiving card for a husband and they don't seem to make them.  I couldn't find one anywhere."

Now, I can't begin to tell you the amount of special happenings that surround my life when it comes to my bride. This is just one of the most special that has ever happened.  She was determined to give me a Thanksgiving card...even if I was a wife for the day. I wish you could hear me giggling!!!!  Thanks, baby!
