KIT????? Yeah, that's a new one for me too.  Keep in touch.  As the years go by, and we're all witnessing so many changes to the world, life and society.  It makes me ponder.  What am I "pondering?"

Well, to be honest, I worry about the lessening of human interaction. Between Facebook, texting and e-mailing, where is the face to face conversation going?  Where has that handwritten note gone?  Where is that phone call just to say hi, and say whatever it was that you just texted. Do people just not like people anymore?  Are people just becoming more lazy with all this technology at their fingertips?

It's called interpersonal communication.  It's becoming more scarce every day. It's a very sad state of affairs in my opinion. This is why you're finding so many people in your life who lack social skills. Why talk face to face when you can just send an e-mail?  Or why make that phone call when you can just "shoot" a text?

You had better be up with the abreviated lingo as well.  TTYL, LOL, OMG, and maybe we'll be BFF's if I'm lucky!  I'm sure there are more, but this guy just ain't up on all of it - and I don't want to be.  I still enjoy a nice face to face conversation, or to hear from a friend on the telephone.  I find it rare, but am always happy when I get a note or a card in the mail from someone.  That means that they took the time and effort to write it and mail it.

I know...you gotta change with the times, Dan!!  It doesn't mean that I have to like it, and not be concerned about the direction human to human contact has been going for some time.  Unfortunately it's only going to get worse. Shoot me a text...send me an e-mail, let me know your status on Facebook.  Better yet, how bout you just give a call to say, "hi!!"
