"Blacc Hollywood" is a good place for Wiz Khalifa.
The rapper`s fifth studio album has given Khalifa his first No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200, selling 90,000 copies during its first week on sale.
Khalifa has come close before; both 2012's "O.N.I.F.C." and 2011's "Rolling Papers" debuted at No. 2.
"Blacc Hollywood" also debuted at No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums charts. Khalifa tells us he feels that "Blacc Hollywood" is his best release so far:
"I was more focused on just keying in on all of my strong points, just trying to bring all of those elements out and just getting straight to it as opposed to trying to explain something...the all-around approach to the structure of the album and, y'know, how I lay out the songs and what each song describes and the mood of each moment."
Guests on "Blacc Hollywood" include Ty Dolla $ign, Curren$y and Nicki Minaj, the latter on the track "True Colors."
Khalifa has performances booked for the fall at the Arizona State Fair on October 17, the Lone Star Music Festival November 8 in Houston and the Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, Texas, on November 9.
