Although TMZ claims Suge Knight isn’t talking to cops after being shot six times, someone else sure is.
Chris Brown released a statement via “Billboard” after the shooting at his pre-VMAs party on Sunday.
“Chris hosted an event in Los Angeles last night to celebrate the upcoming release of his album ‘X,’ during which an incident occurred,” his rep tells “Billboard.” “This incident did not involve Chris; he was merely the host of the event.”
As of Tuesday, Knight was believed to be “fully conscious” after the violent incident.
Brown’s rep also insisted that the R&B singer will “continue to cooperate with the investigation,” which left Knight hit with a reported six bullets and two others shot as well.
Part of the statement regarding his lack of involvement is likely to make sure that it’s clear Brown didn’t violate his parole.
A violation left him behind bars for several months, and he was just released from jail in May.
Brown is still expected to release “X” on September 16, and he shared the track list before the shooting.
