Though we’re confident that J.K. Rowling can do just about anything – she’s magic, after all – she will not in fact be directing her upcoming Harry Potter spinoff.

The film, an adaptation of “Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them,” has landed a director in the form of David Yates, according to Deadline.

That name should sound family to superfans of Rowling’s franchise, as he helmed “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

While Rowling is not directing, she is penning the script for “Fantastic Beasts,” which is expected to be the first in a trilogy.

Set 70 years before Harry’s adventures at Hogwarts, the new story will follow the adventures of Magizoologist Newt Scamander.

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” trilogy will be released on November 18, 2016.

Are you breathing a sigh of relief knowing that they’re getting the director of “Deathly Hallows” for the new film? Weigh in with your thoughts below!
