“Scandal”
is getting another boost of star power when it returns this fall.

Mary McCormackplayed a high-level government official on “The West Wing,” but she’ll have to cede power to Olivia Pope in an October episode.

Per “The Hollywood Reporter,” McCormack will reportedly play one-half of a couple on the ABC smash hit, with her husband to be played by “Ed” alum Josh Randall.

Details on their role in the fourth season are being kept top secret in true Shonda Rhimes style.

McCormack joins Portia de Rossi, another high-profile guest star who will recur, though her role is being kept even more of a secret.

One person they won’t be bumping into is Harrison (Columbus Short), considering Shonda has confirmed he (SPOILER ALERT) bit the dust in the season three finale.

“Scandal” will be back this fall Thursdays at 9pm, sitting pretty between two other Shondaland dramas, “Grey’s Anatomy” and “How to Get Away with Murder.”
