Not bad for a gang of genetically-modified turtles!

Following their box office-topping debut, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” has been greenlit for a sequel set to come in 2016.

Deadline reports that Nickelodeon Movies has earmarked June 3, 2016 for the release of the follow-up, which will again feature Michael Bay (“Transformers”) at the helm.

That’s great news for fans of vigilante Casey Jones – who is often April O’Neil’s love interest – as well as Shredder’s cronies, Bebop and Rocksteady, as all three will likely debut in the new movie.

“We had those conversations throughout the development of this movie but we’re launching this movie now in two weeks,” one of the filmmakers told ScreenRant. “Hopefully everybody feels the same way we do [about it]. We love them [Bebop and Rocksteady].

“Ninja Turtles” opened to more than $65 million in the U.S., co-starring Megan Fox, Will Arnett and William Fichtner.
