“Arrested Development” is on its way to fulfilling the mantra of another cult hit, “Community,” getting dangerously close to six seasons and a movie.

Netflix’s chief content officer Ted Sarandos told “USA Today” earlier this week that the comedy would return for its second season on the streaming service and it fifth overall.

Sarandos said he’s “positive” it’s happening, and while it might be a ways away, that’s not a bad thing.

He said it was a “fair criticism… that the cast didn’t appear on screen often enough together.”

What’s still up in the air is how the renewal will affect creator Mitch Hurwitz’s plan for an “Arrested” movie, though he told “Rolling Stone” he was working on it last year.

“I’m hoping it happens as soon as possible… I want to get a time and tell everybody when it’s happening and not play with people,” he told “Rolling Stone.” “Right now, I’m trying to do something else for Netflix and a movie project and things.”
