Justin Bieber has been in and out of legal trouble over the past few years, but his music did some undeniable good this month.
The “Austrian Times” reports that a fisherman was attacked by a bear in northern Russia’s Yakutia Republic, and he might not have made it out alive if it wasn’t for his ringtone.
The man, 42-year-old Igor Vorozhbitsyn, had reportedly set Bieber’s “Baby” as his ringtone.
When the phone rang, the bear ran away into the woods, allowing him to call for help and escape with “cuts and sever bruises to his face and chest,” according to
“I couldn’t believe my luck when the phone went off and he fled,” he told the “Times.” “I know that sort of ringtone isn’t to everyone’s taste but my granddaughter loaded it onto my phone for a joke,” he told the “Times.”
It’s OK to admit that you’re a Belieber, Igor! Can you believe that “Baby” was enough to scare off a bear?
