Lollapalooza went old school over the weekend, thanks to performances from Outkast and Nas.
Nas took the took the stage on the music festival’s second day, taking time for an homage to Michael Jackson, including a performance of the MJ-sampling “It Ain’t Hard to Tell,” according to Hip Hop DX.
The reunited duo of Big Boi and Andre 3000 closed out the second night by performing hits like “Hey Ya!,” “The Way You Move” and “Gasoline Dreams.”
Big Boi teased their arrival online, writing, “Chi Town The ATLiens Have Landed,” referencing the group’s second record.
He also posted selfies from the show, including one that showed off the writing on his shirt, which read, “across cultures, darker people suffer most. why?”
Outkast and Nas followed a number of rappers who performed the first day at Lollapalooza, including Eminem and Iggy Azalea.
After stopping for a photo with Chance the Rapper, Outkast headed to the OVO Festival in Toronto, where he had time to stop and pose with Drake.
Andre 3000 sported a similar jumpsuit to Big Boi’s at OVO, which read, “ok, hand over the cure and stop playing.”
