There’s no I in “Team,” but Lorde is going to have solo control over the “Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1” soundtrack.

Who better to take charge of one of 2014’s most-anticipated soundtracks than the “Royals” singer, who came out of nowhere last year and became one of the biggest names in music.

MTV News reports that Lorde will sing the lead single from the release, which will be out later this year.

“Curating the soundtrack for such a hotly anticipated film was a challenge, but I jumped at the chance,” she said in a press release (via MTV). “The cast and story are an inspiration for all musicians participating and, as someone with cinematic leanings, being privy to a different creative process has been a unique experience.”

Lorde closed by teasing that what she has planning will “surprise” people. Previous soundtracks for the franchise have featured new music from stars like Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, Coldplay and Christina Aguilera.

Lorde herself contributed “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” for last year’s “Catching Fire.”

“Mockingjay – Part 1” will open in theaters on November 21. Are you excited to see what Lorde will come up with?
