It’s time to “Dance Again,” J.Lo, it’s your birthday!

Jennifer Lopez, who turns 45 today, began her career as a dancer on the TV show “In Living Color” in 1990.

The Bronx native and current “American Idol” judge emerged on the scene in 1997 as the title character in the biopic film “Selena” about the life and death of Latin pop artist of the same name.

The Golden Globe nominee did not simply settle for big screen success though, as she ventured into the world of music with her debut album “On the 6” in 1999, going platinum in a matter of just two weeks.

The sultry Latin diva then showed off her astonishing dance moves to the world with her performance in the video for her single, "Waiting for Tonight,” scoring a Best Dance Performance nod at the Grammys in 2000.

The next year, her A-list was solidified though with the release of a no. 1 album in “J.Lo” and a box office opposite Matthew McConaughey in “The Wedding Planner.”

A look back at the “On the Floor” singer’s exes looks like a who’s who of the entertainment industry, from Ben Affleck (who could ever forget “Bennifer”) to Sean “Diddy” Combs and ex-husband Marc Anthony.

The mother of two – a twin boy and girl – had a major career resurgence in 2010 with a stint as a judge on “Idol” and being named PEOPLE’s Most Beautiful Woman in 2011.

After two years with the show, she re-focused her attention on her musical career, producing hit after hit with “Dance Again,” “I’m Into You” and “I Luh Ya Papi.

That last single was released as part of her most recent studio album, “A.K.A.,” which hit stores last month.

J.Lo returned for the most recent season and will be back on “Idol” again in January 2015, but don’t think that her acting career is suffering because of her busy schedule.

She wears the hat of an executive producer for the hit ABC Family show “The Fosters,” and “Idol” host Ryan Seacrest will produce a cop drama (“Shades of Blue”) for Lopez to star in for the 2015-16 season.

So Jenny from the Block is clearly back and better than ever and was duly awarded with the prestigious 2,500th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last year.

There is simply no slowing down the multi-talented Jennifer Lopez, which is why the bilingual singer, actress and TV maven deserves a big shout-out on her 45th birthday!
