Jake T. Austin got his start on Disney’s wholesome “Wizards of Waverly Place,” but things definitely seem to have taken a turn.
Not long after the 19-year-old star took a plea deal in his DUI case, he has been charged with a hit and run stemming from a four-way crash in November, TMZ reports.
Austin, who currently co-stars on ABC Family’s drama “The Fosters,” is believed to have crashed into three parked cars on a street in California.
He and his friends were allegedly picked up by a car service, but he is now facing a misdemeanor charge that could carry up to six months in jail.
Austin isn’t the only “Fosters” star who has faced some legal issues. Though not nearly as severe, one of his TV moms, Teri Polo, filed for bankruptcy earlier this year due to nearly a million dollars in debt.
If this turns out to be true, what do you think is the next course of action for Austin?
