Did Seth MacFarlane rip off the idea from “Ted” from a web series?

That’s what Bengal Mangle Productions, the team behind “Acting School Academy” seems to think.

According to TMZ, the web series centered on a teddy bear living with humans who – like Ted – loved to “hang out on the coach, smoke and drink beer, [and] have friends who are washed up child stars…”

The writer-producer never met with the Bengal team, but they claim it would be impossible for him to be unaware of their successful web show.

MacFarlane, who voiced the title character in 2012’s “Ted,” is currently hard at work on the sequel, which will feature Amanda Seyfried and returning star Mark Wahlberg.

While “A Million Ways to Die in the West” was a bit of a disappointment, it’s fair to say that MacFarlane has created an empire, with “Family Guy,” “Cosmos” and “American Dad” to his name.

His next animated series, “Bordertown,” will debut in 2015.
