wasn’t so unapologetic after accidentally tweeting support for Palestine.

RiRi was questioned by fans after tweeting the phrase “#FreePalestine” on Tuesday.

TMZ reports that she deleted it eight minutes later, with a source claiming that it was an accident, as a friend had sent her an article to read about the conflict between the Palestinians and the Israelis.

However, she quickly back-tracked and said she simply wanted peace in the region, tweeting:


Pop stars seem to be getting involved with international politics left and right, with Justin Timberlake making a similar move by posting a selfie at the Western Wall in Jerusalem in May.

He labeled the photo “#Israel,” causing similar concerns for his pro-Palestinian fans.

Meanwhile, in April, Justin Bieber apologized after praying at a Japanese war shrine that, according to “The Huffington Post,” is seen by neighboring countries as “showing a lack of understanding or remorse over wartime history.”
