If you haven’t heard of Kendall and Kylie Jenner, you’ve probably been hiding under a rock for a few years.

But nobody would fault you for not knowing Maya Sloan, a ghostwriter whose job is to be invisible.

Sloan spoke to the “Los Angeles Times” about “Rebels: City of Indria,” which she co-wrote with the famous sisters.

“People are trying to take this away from the girls,” she told the “L.A. Times.” “But most art is collaborative. It was never, like, ‘Maya – go off and write 10 chapters and send them back to us.”

Because of their busy filming schedules with “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and Kendall’s modeling career, most of the work was done over Skype and Face-Time sessions with Sloan.

Kendall, who was quoted at a recent award show as saying, “Guys, I’m the worst reader,” recently said during a Twitter Q&A that “editing it was hard.”

While the Jenners weren’t afraid to be interviewed for the story, explaining that the ghostwriter adapted her voice to include their “lingo,” she will not appear on their reality show.
