It’s not easy being a TV guest star, especially not when the series has become a phenomenon.

Nobody knows that better than Cam Gigandet (“The Twilight Saga”), who it sounds like had an interesting experience while recurring on “The O.C.

During an interview with “Elle,” Gigandet didn’t have get a great impression of the cast based on his time during the pop culture touchstone's two final seasons.

“Actually, Ben McKenzie was kind of mean to me. I hadn’t done anything at that point and he was a little bit of an a**,” he told “Elle.” “But I love him. I think he’s a great actor and I love ‘Southland.’”

Both stars have since moved on, with Gigandet’s Southern legal drama “Reckless” bowing on Sunday and McKenzie’s Batman prequel “Gotham” premiering on FOX this fall.

As for Mischa Barton, he added, “Mischa? I didn’t really… Was she there? I don’t even have memories of her.”

It should be noted that (spoiler alert) Gigandet’s character, Volchuk, was responsible for the death of Barton’s on-screen character, Marissa Cooper.
