Look no further, John Green fans, because Alaska has been found.

The “Fault in Our Stars” author has confirmed that filmmaker Sarah Polley (“Take This Waltz”) will helm an adaptation of his first young adult novel, "Looking for Alaska."

“So excited to announce that the brilliant filmmaker Sarah Polley will be writing and directing a film adaptation of Looking for Alaska,” he tweeted. “I’m a HUGE fan of Sarah’s movies, and her ideas about Looking for Alaska are really wonderful, and I am SO VERY EXCITED.”

Green’s fans have been angling for a film version of his debut for years, and “Gossip Girl” and “The O.C.” creator even wrote a script several years ago.

“Josh wrote an excellent screenplay adaptation of the book, a screenplay which I desperately loved, but there was no enthusiasm for that kind of movie at Paramount, and so far as I know, there still isn’t,” Green wrote on his official site.

Well, there is certainly enthusiasm for the film now that “TFIOS” is a certified hit, with another Green novel, “Paper Towns,” being adapted for the big screen.
