Here’s a news bulletin coming straight from The Capitol: the new teaser trailer for “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1” is super creepy.

Spotlighting buzzwords like “unity” and “sacrifice,” you might think you’re looking at a trailer for another young adult franchise, “Divergent.”

While that is not so, the teaser does not feature the franchise’s heroine, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), either.

Rather, there’s an eerie voiceover from President Snow, played by Donald Sutherland, who appears to promote the values of the citizens of Panem.

Katniss’s captured pal, Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), stands dutifully by his side, but make no mistake: That upbeat speech for CapitolTV is a total misdirect.

Things will fire up again this fall, when “Mockingjay – Part 1” hits theaters in November. “Panem today, Panem tomorrow, Panem forever!”

While it’s a great preview, it’s a shame that we didn’t get to see any of the new characters, played by Julianne Moore and “Game of Thrones” actress Gwendoline Christie, among others.
