Being bad is good for business.

Angelina Jolie has the highest-grossing film of her career with “Maleficent,” according to “Entertainment Weekly.”

Her previous best was “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” in which she co-starred with future partner Brad Pitt.

Perhaps the family connection is the trick for Jolie, since her daughter, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt plays a young Aurora in the modern update of the Disney classic.

This bodes well for the idea of a follow-up, with the actress even suggested this month when she was in China.

“It’s kind of hard to top her, she was pretty fun. Maybe I’ll get the chance to play her again,” she said (via “The Hollywood Reporter”).

Disney already has a sequel to “Alice in Wonderland” in the works, another reboot based on one of their animated hits.

For now, Jolie is also focusing on her directing career. Her follow-up to 2011’s “In the Land of Blood and Honey” is an adaptation of a World War II biography, “Unbroken.
