Gordon Ramsay knows when to hang up his chef’s hat.
The culinary icon revealed on his official website that he’s decided to stop making new episodes of “Kitchen Nightmares.”
“I’m currently filming 4 new episodes, ‘Costa Del Nightmares,’ for Channel 4 [overseas] which will be my last. I’ve had a phenomenal 10 years making 123 episodes, 12 seasons, shot on 2 continents, watched by tens of millions of people and sold to over 150 countries,” he wrote. “It’s been a blast but [its] time to call it a day.”
The show was adapted for American television in 2007, three years after it premiered in the U.K. “Kitchen Nightmares” aired its seventh season on FOX earlier this year, ending its run in May.
Ramsay finished the statement by saying he would continue with his other shows, which include “Hell’s Kitchen,” “MasterChef” and “MasterChef Junior."
FOX has yet to confirm the news. Would you be sad to see the show go or do you agree that “it’s time”? Weigh in below!
