She wants her money, honey.
A Bronx-based dancer is suing the producers of Jessica Alba’s 2003 flick “Honey,” in which she played a struggling dancer in the same New York borough, TMZ reports.
But the dancer, Honey Rockwell, says the similarities go beyond name – which she took on in 1994 – and location, as they even filmed at “the same dance studio where she taught.”
Rockwell now wants a cut of the profits from the movie and the 2011 straight-to-video follow-up,” “Honey 2,” starring “Vampire Diaries” actress Kat Graham. TMZ estimates the films garnered more than $70.
“Honey” was Alba’s first lead film role and came shortly after her rise to fame in the cult TV series “Dark Angel,” before taking on roles in “Sin City” and “Fantastic Four.”
This August, she’ll reprise her role of Nancy Callahan in the long-awaited “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.”
