Robert Pattinson
has gone on record denying that he’s taking up the mantle of Harrison Ford’s most iconic roles.

With the recent reports that RobPat would be taking over for Ford in “Indiana Jonesand a Han Solo-themed “Star Wars” spinoff, he seemed as perplexed as anyone.

“Why is that coming out?” he asked “People” of the Indy rumors. “I honestly don’t understand what it is all about. Man, I wish.”

Pattinson had not even heard that Disney was plotting character-based “Star Wars” standalone features but said he would watch it when it was released.

Obviously, he is no stranger to playing iconic roles, personifying dreamy “Twilight” vampire Edward Cullen in five “Twilight Saga” films.

The “Twilight” alum is making a splash for his role in “The Rover,” a new Australian-set drama that co-stars Guy Pearce.
