Even after the Oscar nomination, Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo have said no to a “Bridesmaids” sequel, but they still have their eyes on an encore.

According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” Wiig will make her directorial debut in a new project, and she and Mumolo will play “best friends who find themselves in over their heads and out of their depths.”

It’s nice to know that the world will get more of Mumolo, who had a small but terrific part in that film as a fellow passenger who was equally afraid of flying as Wiig’s Annie.

The screenwriter just penned the script for “Joy,” a movie focusing on the real-life inventor of the Miracle Mop that will mark another reunion for David O. Russell and Jennifer Lawrence.

But seriously, can they just cast it “American Horror Story” style and bring back Melissa McCarthy, Maya Rudolph, et al?
