Jennifer Lopez has squared things away and is in fact headed to the World Cup opening ceremony on Thursday.
J.Lo shocked fans earlier this week when it was announced that she would not perform at the event, for which her collaboration with Pitbull, “We Are One (Ole Ola)” is the official song.
All has been rectified now, with the singer telling “Billboard” that scheduling was the reason behind the near-miss.
“I think people get anxious, especially with me and my schedule when I’m like, ‘Ah, OK, I can leave this day, that day, I don’t know if we can make it,” she explained (via “Billboard”). “People get nervous and I think it was a little premature to announce anything. But we are definitely going.”
Pitbull was originally going to sing “We Are One” solely with Claudia Leitte, a South American singer who also worked on the track.
While it’s good to see that J.Lo was able to work it in, it’s not like she doesn’t have enough going on. Her latest LP, “A.K.A.,” drops on June 17.
