James Franco
has been quite clear that he never got romantic with Lindsay Lohan.

So it’s a tad strange that he devoted an entire short story for “Vice” to it, but no complaints here.

In the tale, titled “Bungalow 89,” Franco spins a yarn about the time Lohan – whom he addresses by her full name even thought the story is said to be fictional – called him up to sleep on his couch, and he offered to tell read her a J.D. Salinger story “about a neglected daughter” instead.

In “Bungalow,” he refers to LiLo as a “dragon girl, lion girl, Hollywood hellion, terror of Sunset Boulevard, minor in the clubs, [and] Chateau Demon.”

The actor claims that after reading to her from Salinger’s “Nine Stories,” she got rather attached. “Every night Lindsay looked for me, and I hid,” he wrote in “Vice” as the story winds down.

Among the many gems, Franco also dished on his maligned Oscar hosting gig, about which he says he was “so unhappy… because they had cut my Cher sequence – I was supposed to sing [a] song from ‘Burlesque’… dressed as Cher…”
