’s Liam Payne appears to taking a little responsibility for a leaked tape of his bandmates, even though he wasn’t in the video.

Payne tweeted an apology over the weekend, explaining that they have some “growing up to do.”

His words seem to reference the video of 1D’s Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik allegedly smoking marijuana in Peru during their tour.

“We all have a lot of growing up to do in an extreme circumstance. I’m not making [excuses] but it’s fact we are gunna fall short somewhere,” he wrote, adding, “Hopefully we stand the test of time [and] get it right in the end. I don’t take this for granted and [I’m] extremely grateful to be here doing this.”

Payne finished by thanking the fans that have stuck with them, perhaps referring to the fans who posted photos of torn-up 1D tickets after the video leaked.
