Selena Gomez
reportedly entered rehab earlier this year, sparking rumors about her health.

Now her grandfather, Ricardo Gomez, is claiming that previous reports that the Disney alum is being treated for lupus are true, speaking with Radar Online in a new interview.

“She’s in treatment,” he confirmed to Radar, stating that she was diagnosed “a couple of years ago.”

“She’s getting along pretty good,” she added. “What worries [us] more is that she doesn’t know how to say no. She won’t take time for herself to relax, to eat well.”

Gomez allegedly checked herself in for a two-week stay in a rehab facility in early January. She later took to Instagram to write what appeared to be her breaking her silence.

“I’ve done everything I could to the best of my ability,” she captioned one photo. “Thank you for the unconditional love and cyber hugs. You inspire me.”
