While it’s too early to tell if Robin Thicke’s performance of “Get Her Back” will win over Paula Patton, but it’s certainly the start of something new.

According to the official release, the R&B singer will release his next album on July 1, though the title is still being kept under wraps.

Once again, Thicke wrote the entire album, including “Get Her Back,” which will serve as the leadoff single for the record.

The star broke through to the mainstream with his sixth album, “Blurred Lines,” in large part due to the title track, which he performed at the MTV VMAs last year.

Thicke went through a public split from his Patton, high school sweetheart, and he has been vocal in his efforts to get back together, including speaking with TMZ and dedicating tracks to her on his most recent tour.

Little else about his latest LP is known, but stay tuned for more in the coming weeks.
