“Do you have any idea who I am or why I asked you to come here today? I wanted to speak with you about your future. What do you hope to achieve, Mark?”

In the biographical drama, Steve Carell, looking virtually unrecognizable underneath prosthetics and makeup, plays a wealthy man who pursues real-life Olympian Mark Schultz (Channing Tatum), a wrestler who wants to be “the best in the world.”

Based on the minute-long teaser, the drama appears to blend wrestling, small town drama and a great deal more guns than your average sports movie, signaling that something darker is afoot.

Mark Ruffalo plays the “Magic Mike” star’s brother, along with co-star Vanessa Redgrave, in the Sony Pictures release, which opens in theaters on November 14.

Notably, Tatum previously referred to the project as “the hardest acting challenge I’ve had to date,” according to “Variety.”
