Since “Almost” only counts in horseshoes, FOX has decided not to move forward with a second season of “Almost Human.”
The futuristic crime procedural, which starred Michael Ealy and Karl Urban (“Star Trek”) as a human-robot police duo, was in fact the network’s second-highest rated drama series this season.
But according to Deadline, with “Glee,” “Bones,” and “The Following” already renewed, the network has few slots left for the fall schedule.
Because FOX ditched the usual pilot season model, they have three pilots in consideration for pickups, and all three might make the cut.
First up is “Gotham,” the Batman prequel series that is steadily marching toward a series order, along with the Octavia Spencer-starring drama “Red Band Society” and “Empire,” a behind-the-scenes look at the hip-hop world.
