Two of Hollywood’s finest are coming out hard against alleged racist comments from L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling.
First up, Queen Latifah shared her feelings on the “disgusting situation” in an interview with Extra.

“I just really hope this galvanizes everyone who is a fan of basketball and who has skin that’s my color to actually take that and motivate them to do something about it,” she told Extra of the NBA scandal. “I’m definitely not giving them any of my money, which is sad because I love the Clippers as a team, but the owner isn’t not happening, he really put his foot in his mouth with this one, bad job.”
Oprah was even more expressive in her comments when speaking to “CBS This Morning” on Tuesday.
“It feels like a plantation mentality in the 21st century, in 2014,” she said (via HuffPost). “It just doesn’t fit. And I’m waiting to see what they do. Something has to be done…that needs to happen, like, now.
After audio of Sterling reportedly making comments telling his girlfriend not to associate with African Americans in public, the NBA banned him for life, fined him $2.5 million and will try to force him to sell the team.
