Having already taken over one prestigious hosting gig, Seth Meyers is already ready for another.

NBC’s new “Late Night” host has been tapped to host the 2014 Emmy Awards, which will air this summer.

“Seth’s expertise and ease in front of a live audience during his time at ‘SNL,’ as well as his comedic brilliance both as a writer and in front of the camera on ‘SNL’ and ‘Late Night,’ makes him the perfect choice to host the Emmys,” NBC’s Paul Telegdy said in a statement (via Deadline).

Meyers also made “Time” magazine’s 100 Most Influential People list earlier this week after taking over for now-“Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon in the 12:30 slot.

Aside from his aforementioned gigs, the TV personality has a great deal of experience have hosted the ESPY Awards in the past as well.

The Emmy Awards will air live on August 25 on NBC. How do you think he’ll do hosting the Emmys? Share your thoughts in the comments!
