While Mariah Carey is one of the most original pop divas around, she is borrowing from her competition for her latest album launch.
Mimi tells “Billboard” that she’s pulling a Beyonce-style move for the release of her 14th studio album, planning to drop the “new album’s title, track listing, artwork and music all at once…”
The singer also dished on the recent string of singles that haven’t performed as well as “#Beautiful,” her collaboration with Miguel.
“You would think I would be all about the singles-driven situation, and I am in a way, but with this particular album I want my fans to hear it as a body of work,” she told “Billboard.”
Mariah has no plans to retire anytime soon, and she also has her eye on a return to television – though not with FOX’s “American Idol.”
“I have another project that I’m so very excited about that’s finally coming to fruition,” she teased.
