Lupita Nyong’o came out of nowhere to become a Hollywood “It Girl” this awards season, and the Oscar winner’s streak is not over yet.

The “12 Years a Slave” actress has been named “People” magazine’s “Most Beautiful” for 2014.

“It was exciting and just a major, major compliment,” she told “People” of the recognition. “I was happy for all the girls who would see me on [it] and feel a little more seen.”

Nyong’o, who became famous for experimenting with vibrant colors during awards season, sports a pale pink gown on the “Most Beautiful” cover, which also celebrates Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lawrence and Julianna Margulies.

Nyong’o will be seen all over the world as the face of Lancome Paris, and having signed with top talent agency CAA, we’ll be seeing a lot more of her on the big screen in the near future.

Since winning her Best Supporting Actress Oscar, the star appeared in a supporting role in “Non-Stop” opposite Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore.
