After months of questionable behavior, Justin Bieber appears to be having a moment of self-reflection this week.

In a possible nod to the White House’s decision to ignore the petition of nearly 275 thousand people calling for his deportation, the 20-year-old pop star took a moment to talk about his future.

“This is my time off but my mind is [always] running. Learned a lot this past year thru trial & error but that is life. Excited for what’s next,” he tweeted early Monday morning. “Always push yourself to be better than the day before.”

Bieber kept the philosophical streak coming later that day, thanking his fans for the opportunities they have afforded him.

“I live for this music. Blessed to see the world and do what I love. Thank you,” he added.

In spite of his legal troubles, as he has been charged with DUI, driving on an expired license and resisting arrest, the Biebs has been included on a Reader Poll for possible inclusion on the “Time” 100 List.
