Robin Williams might be ready to wig out again.
According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” Fox 2000 is planning a sequel to 1993’s “Mrs. Doubtfire,” with Williams and director Chris Columbus returning for the project.
The film starred the “Crazy Ones” actor as a man who pretended to be an elderly Scottish nanny after splitting from his wife (Sally Field) so spend more time with his kids.
One of the aforementioned children was played by Mara Wilson (“Matlida”), who is now 26 and is not so keen on a follow-up.
“Sequels generally suck unless they were planned as part of a trilogy or series. I think Doubtfire ended where it needed to end,” she wrote, adding, “There are many, many reasons I don’t want to be in Mrs. Doubtfire 2. But they haven’t even asked me (yet), so no need to worry.”
